Remi Oyo ! Everday we feel your absence by wale Ojo Lanre

Anti Remi ! Everyday we feel your absence .
We feel your absence

Former Commissioners , Special advisers
Officers in Immigration , Custom , Police ,
Accomplished journalists in many newspapers houses
Entrepreneurs through your Scheme
You ensured that each of us got a job that fits our aspiration
You encouraged us , support us both psychologically and financially despite fixing us all
You taught us the culture of being passionate with whatever we are saddled it
"ko se gate na gbe o si , so gate ni dada ju hian egbe re
( If you are posted to man the gate , be watchful more than the others )
"It is that extra - mile that will keep you ahead "
It is working for us all
You never allowed us to be caught in the embarrassment of daily needs
Anti Remi, you were there for us
Your flat in Joseph Harrison Street Iwaya Onike ,Yaba
Was the refuge for all
Your two wonderful children , Otte and Okemute
Never looked down on us as dependents
who were always in the house to beg for food or money or job
Anti , we enjoyed the House better when you were not in
Particularly when the warm and friendly Uncle Vincent was to be around
He too never considered us a bunch of nuisance - in - law
Who were always on the ground to disturb the peace of the family
You agreed and lived up to the Yoruba dictum
Olowo kan larin awon to ku die fun
Yes , you lived up beyond our imaginations
While you used the old Renault car for so long
You encouraged , facilitated and network and opened doors
for us where we got means to buy exotic cars , better than yours
Most times , you will be the one supplying the fund or the batteries or tyres if any of the cars packed up along Ibadan - Lagos Expressway
It took your family so long a time to own a house of yours
in Lagos
But you encouraged and part financed some of us to live in our houses before the completion of yours
You encouraged us to read and improve on our status
One of the ways into your wallet is educational advancement
You never wary .
You were indeed and in need a mother
You chastised with love
You rectified mistakes and misbehaviour with correctional platitudes
You clothed us when we were naked
You fed us when hungry
And they think we will not miss you ?
We are missing you
The shoe you left has no feet to wear
Too big , too large and too expansive
Okun o , anti mi
Okun o anti ayiye
Omo Olekedooba , L'Usi -Ekiti
omo Owa omo ekun
omo orire ndade
SUN RE LORUN !
