BA flight forced to land after airline worker 'slashes his wrists' in the toilet

A British Airways flight bound for London from Los Angeles was diverted to Iceland after one of the staff was reportedly found slumped on the toilet seat having apparently slashed his wrists.

Plane’s turbulence was so bad a fridge exploded


The man was reportedly discovered in a cubicle on the Airbus A380 by co-workers. It is not known what he had used to cut himself.
He was given emergency medical care before the plane landed safely in Keflavik early on Tuesday.
‘This was a terrible incident, everyone was upset,’ a British Airways employee told The Sun.

‘There was blood and tears. It was truly shocking.’
A spokesperson for BA told MailOnline: ‘Our Los Angeles to Heathrow service diverted into Iceland so that a customer could receive medical assistance.
‘The customer was taken to hospital locally and the flight continued to Heathrow after a two-hour delay.
