7 years ago , as the Oyo State Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists , NUJ , I took 14 members , which included Segun Lawole of NTA , Mrs Ronke Fajemirokun ,who is now Director of News , BCOS , Mr Denrele Ajisefini , GM , Amuludun FM , Wole Efunnuga , Associate Editor, Nigerian Tribune , Prince Wale Olapade , IT student with Tribune , a recipient of NNMA Award , Remi Oladoye , now Alarinkaagbaye was the IIJ Ibadan Student leader then , , Seye Ojo , Oyo State Sun Correspondent , and others on an Educative tour of Ghana where we were coached by the former President of Ghana , FLt Lt J j Rawlings , on Constructive opposition and criticism .
It was and still the first ever Educ- tour to be conducted by any chairman of NUJ Oyo state outside Nigeria .
We spent 7 purposeful days in Ghana
The tour was funded by a personal donation from Hon Folake Olunloyo , who appreciated my personal support as a family friend to her emergence as Honourable Member of the House of Representatives from Ibadan .
Wale my brother, You did not tell us what Rawlings did to 14 Nigerian journalists 7 years ago. Yes he coached you on constructive opposition. Your story is inconclusive. We are waiting.
